Terms
Last updated 28 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and NextJen when you create an account or start a plan. Please read them. Nothing in them takes away your legal rights as a consumer.
1. Who we are
NextJen is run by Business name, to be added before launch, Business type, to be added before launch. Our postal address is Postal address, to be added before launch. You can email us at hello@nextjentuition.co.uk.
2. What NextJen is
NextJen is online practice for the 11+ test used by the King Edward VI Foundation schools, Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls and Bishop Vesey's Grammar School. It includes practice questions, timed mock papers and a progress view for parents.
We write every question ourselves to match the style of the test. We aren't connected to GL Assessment or to any school, and we don't have the real test papers. Practice helps, but we can't promise any score or a place at any school.
3. Your account
- You must be 18 or over to create an account. Children use NextJen through your account, in child mode.
- You're responsible for your child's use of NextJen and for keeping your password and PIN private.
- Your account is for your own household. Please don't share it with other families.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
4. Plans and prices
- You pay for each child, and each child needs a place on your plan to practise.
- Prices are shown on our home page and in your parent area before you pay. They include any VAT that applies.
- You choose to pay monthly or yearly. A monthly plan renews each month until you cancel. A yearly plan is one payment for 12 months and doesn't renew unless you choose to turn renewal on.
- Adding a child adds a place to your plan. On a monthly plan, you pay for the part month on your next bill. On a yearly plan, you pay for the rest of the year straight away.
- Stripe takes your payments. By paying, you also agree to Stripe's terms.
5. Free trial
Your first plan starts with a 7 day free trial. You give your card details at the start, and your first payment is taken when the trial ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing. Each family gets one free trial.
6. Cancelling and refunds
- You can cancel at any time from Manage payments in your parent area.
- When you cancel a monthly plan, you keep access until the end of the month you've paid for. We don't charge you again.
- Within 14 days of your first payment, you can ask for a full refund for any reason. Email hello@nextjentuition.co.uk. Your plan ends when we refund you.
- After those 14 days, payments aren't refundable, except where the law says otherwise or we've let you down.
UK law gives you 14 days to change your mind about an online service. By starting your plan, you ask us to give you access straight away. Our 14 day full refund promise above gives you at least as much as the law requires.
7. Changes to prices
We'll email you at least 30 days before any price change affects you, so you can cancel first if you want to. A yearly plan you've already paid for never costs more during that year. Families who joined with founding prices keep them for as long as their plan continues without a break.
8. Using NextJen fairly
- Our questions, mock papers and site belong to us. You can use them for your own children's practice.
- Please don't copy, share, sell or publish them, or collect them with automated tools.
- Please don't try to break, overload or get round the security of the site.
If an account breaks these terms in a serious way, we may suspend or close it. We'll tell you why, and refund any part of a yearly plan you haven't used, unless the breach was deliberate.
9. Keeping NextJen running
We work to keep NextJen available all the time, but it may occasionally be unavailable, for example for updates. We'll keep breaks short and warn you about planned ones where we can. We add and improve questions regularly, and we may change features, as long as the service you pay for stays at least as good.
10. Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms, we're responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We aren't responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, or for business losses, since NextJen is for families. Otherwise our total responsibility is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us limit. Your legal rights as a consumer aren't affected.
11. Your information
Our privacy notice explains how we look after your information and your children's information.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. We'll email you at least 30 days before a change that matters to you. If you don't agree, you can cancel before it takes effect.
13. Problems and the law
If something goes wrong, please email hello@nextjentuition.co.uk first. We'll reply within 5 working days and try to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or in Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there.
