Every part of the test, weighted like the real thing
The test has two papers of about 60 minutes. English and verbal reasoning carry half the marks, so they get half the practice.

Every plan starts with a 7 day free trial. Year 4 children move up to the Year 5 course each September, and every skill score carries over. Waitlist families get founding prices, fixed for as long as they stay.
Questions parents ask
Which schools does NextJen prepare for?
The shared entrance test used by the King Edward VI Foundation schools, Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls, Bishop Vesey's Grammar School and other West Midlands grammar schools. It is a GL Assessment test with two papers of about 60 minutes.
Are these the real test questions?
No. Nobody outside GL Assessment sees the real papers. Every NextJen question is written from scratch to match the style, format and topics of the test, and a tutor checks it before any child sees it.
Does my child need their own login?
No. Your child practises inside your account in child mode, and your PIN takes you back to the parent area. We never ask for your child's email address or surname.
What equipment do we need?
A laptop or tablet with a web browser. There's nothing to download or install.
